Rita
was rescued from a local Veterinarian's office where her owners had brought
her to be destroyed. You see, Rita had a small hernia on her stomach that
was in need of an operation. Instead of paying for the operation or looking
for alternative solutions, she was given a death sentence. Luckily for
Rita, a caring vet tech in the office realized the problem could easily
be fixed. She contacted C.A.R.E. to see if they had room for the kitten.
Rita was rescued! Her hernia was corrected at the same time she was spayed.
She was good as new. After recovering, Rita set out on a mission to find
a new home. Everyday she carefully positioned herself in a prime spot
in the Annie's Cat House. She would sprawl out belly up on the bench in
the center of the cat house carefully watching for just the right person
to walk in. It wasn't long before she found herself some new owners! Rita
now has a family! She has two loving parents and a sister dog named Katie
and a rotten brother cat named Frog! She spends her days lounging in the
sun and bringing tremendous joy to the world around her.
She is truly a blessing!
Rita is just one of many C.A.R.E. success stories!
