Boy Scouts Help Out

On Saturday July 30th, a troop of local Boy Scouts came to the C.A.R.E. shelter to work on several projects. Daniel Nielubowicz planned the project in order to become an eagle scout. The troup (#610) was from St. Stephen Catholic Church in Valrico. The main project was the construction of the new puppy run. Daniel had to plan the entire project and oversee all the construction. The troop also planted bushes and applied sealer to another group of runs. Finally, they built agility equipment consisting of a tire jump, weeve poles and an adjustable jump. They did a great job and we look forward to taking the dogs out each morning and letting them run the agility course!
