Four-year-old Morrisa was an easygoing resident in the adult section at C.A.R.E.'s cat quarters. Like all residents, though, she was happy
when she found a forever home. Her new mom had picked out her picture among her fellow female cats on petfinder.com because of her orange
fur and contacted C.A.R.E. After visiting the shelter, she adopted Morrisa.
Morrisa not only acquired a new loving home she also acquired three kitty siblings. To make her transition to a multicat family easier,
her mom gave Morrisa her own living space, moving her into the guest room. Little by little Morrisa started to explore the whole house
and to meet her siblings. 17-year-old Clovis was the first to say hello to her, who then went his own way not minding a new furry family
member. The other two kitties, however, weren't and still aren't quiet sure about sharing their home life and yet have to work out an
arrangement with Morrisa.
Despite the disagreement with her siblings, Morrisa has settled right into her new home, playing with her new parents and entertaining
herself like a happy kitty cat. She lies on the window sill to see what's happening in the outside world, chases lizards on the screened
porch and watches birds. She enjoys the quality time with her parents when they toss paper balls, her favorite toys, for her to catch.
Her favorite game is to play fetch, sprinting after the tossed paper ball, retrieving it and bringing it back to her parents to throw again.
Sleeping after a good meal, especially in her mom's lap, makes the day perfect for Morrisa. If her mom isn't available to cuddle with,
Morrisa nestles down in her blanket on the couch where she also spends the nights.
Morrisa's mom said when Morrisa is happy or mad, she expresses it with her mouth, moving it strangely, almost like a dog when it eats peanut butter.
