Hi everyone - Here is an update on Pinball
He is still called Pinball - his name fit him so well I couldn't change it. He is doing great!. This little guy is a hoot and a half. Every day he does something that I laugh at. You should see him do somersaults when he attacks a feather on a string. And he does this odd little thing with his back paw. He uses it like it a front paw.
He is still quite the cuddler. Especially when he wakes up. He wants you to pick him up and he nuzzles his head under your chin and gives you a couple of licks on the cheek. He still loves to be held. He will go to anyone if they offer to hold him.
He did have another ear infection that I rushed him to the vet's with. She got another culture but it didn't show anything. So she tried a different medicine and so far, so good. I check his ears pretty often. She did say the adorable little tilt to his head will more than likely be permanent damage. That's ok - it gives him character.
So what has Pinball been up to.... He has been a huge help around the house - I didn't know I adopted a working cat.
He has taught us to put our shoes away by chewing my husbands shoelaces and obliterating my crocs.
He helps us dry off after a shower by running full force into the bathroom and licking our feet and ankles till they are dry.
He taught us to watch where we step by plopping down anywhere he feels like it to sleep. (he snores).
He has helped my other cat watch his weight by chasing him around the house.
He reminds me to dust under my furniture by constantly shooing every single toy he owns under the couches.
He stops my dog from hurting herself when she wags her tail by trying to clasp it in his paws.
He keeps the geckos off the window by tapping the window till they run away.
He reminds me to put my eyeglasses in a drawer at night and if I don't, he moves my glasses under the bed.
I have a feeling he will be helping with a lot of other things around the house as well.
I would like to thank Gloria and the staff at the shelter for taking such great care of Pinball in the months he was there. He is a wonderful little cat.
I would also like to thank the person that dropped Pinball off at the shelter. You took him to a great place. Had you not done that, I wouldn't have such a funny little furball.
Thank you everyone,
Brian and Chris
