Allie

Tara Wypiszynski, browsing C.A.R.E.'s Web site, stopped at a picture of a baby husky terrier mix with brown, black and white fur. Admiring the cute picture, she decided she wanted the dog and adopted it. For Allie, a stray puppy, it was the beginning of the family life she was yearning for after her rescue and arrival at C.A.R.E.

In the few months since Allie found a permanent home, she grew into a 45-pound youngster, thriving on Natural Choice food, her favorite pick. She already helps around the house, getting up early each day to accompany her dad to get the newspaper. Still in training to learn all the house rules, she spends the mornings in a crate, fantasizing about chewing on things if she had free rein of the house. In the afternoon it's playtime with her mom and dad. Her favorite toy is a stuffed animal as big as her head. Allie also exercises daily, running around in her big yard, taking walks with her parents and going into the pool. She loves water, and she loves baths.

For lounging, Allie likes the cozy place under her mom's computer desk. At 11 o'clock Allie goes to bed. She sleeps in her crate and goes in voluntarily after a peek to make sure her blue blanket is in it.

Tara said Allie was cuddly and great when she arrived at her new home. She welcomed everyone and walked all around the house. Thinking highly of C.A.R.E.'s staff, Tara came back later to have Allie spayed.
