Angel

This is Angel and my new human (aka Mom) told me you emailed and asked for my story since I came home with her.

Well, let me tell you I have had an adventure! After my new mom and human sister picked me up from CARE, we went to the Three Legged Poodle and adopted another fur baby (of the baby kitty version). That was the first of many surprises. When we got to my new forever home I met my new brothers and sisters. Ringo and Buddy are my doggie brothers and Callie, Gracey, and Misty are my new kitty sisters. Callie really doesn’t like me since she is about 15 years old and doesn’t like it when I chase her. Gracey and Misty are still trying to get to know me. Eventually, they will learn to love me, right? The new kitten’s name is Simi. Brandy said this name is from a book series she reads. In the last couple of weeks, me and Simi have been playing very nicely together. Even though I am 3 and she is about 3 months old, we both have a bunch of energy and it is nice having another young fur baby to play with.

Let me tell you about my new home. Oh boy! No one could have picked a better place for me. I have humans that make sure I have medicine for my special eye (Mom had to take me to Dr. Slaughter to get more medicine). I really don’t like having the medicine put in it, but Mom keeps telling me that it is for my own good. My new mom and dad give me lots of love and don’t let me go outside without a leash (we don’t talk about “the incident” where I sneaked out without the leash and mom had to chase me for a mile). My first night in my new home my mom let me on her bed and I snuggled under the covers and laid my head on her pillow. Mom took a picture and is attaching it to this email. I have free roam of my new home and new toys to play with. I really don’t like the rubber balls, but Mom bought me a stuffed frog and a teddy bear squeaky toys. I really love these toys and will chase them and carry them all over the house. I also have good food to eat, though mom is strict about feeding schedules. But, she does give me wet food with my dry food. My dad also sneaks me pieces of cheese every now and then. So, I no longer have to wonder where my next meal will be coming from. I also like that I am in a house during these hot days and I don’t have to be out in the heat or rain.

I do try and show my new forever family how much I love them every chance I can. This means every time they sit on the couch or lie in bed, I snuggle up. I can’t have either my new mom or dad thinking that I don’t love them. Mom said that she thinks that someone may have abused me in the past. I don’t know what that word abused means, but I do know that there are time when I cower down like I’m expecting someone to hit me. So far, no one in my new home has hit me. Even when I have had accidents on the floor. Mom asks me why I do that and then cleans it up. Dad reminds mom that he is glad we have tile floor all through the house. I should add my mom does asks my brothers, Ringo and Buddy the same question when they have accidents.

My mom is attaching a few photos of me with my new brothers, Ringo and Buddy and other pictures of the kitties. We have a full house, but it is never dull. Though Mom is having her allergy medicine adjusted since she is allergic to kitties and doggies! I think that makes us even more special!

Thank you for helping me find my forever home.

Angel
