Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know how Daisy is doing. She has adapted so well.
She is the love of our lives. She snuggles in bed with us at night and
has conquered using a doggy door to go out and in as she pleases. We do
still keep a watchful eye on her when she’s outside since she has that
super
ability of jumping fences. So far so good.
We play with her outside several times a day, go for walks and my husband
takes her for a ride in the SUV every chance he gets. She likes to sit in
the front seat just like a human.
Today was her first day alone while we both had to work and she did great.
We confined her to our bedroom where she had access to the tiled shower
stall in case she couldn’t hold it. But she didn’t do anything. I really
expected the place to be torn apart when we got home, but the only thing
she did was pushed some pillows on the floor. By the way, when I say we
confined her, all we did was put up a baby safety fence across the door
opening
which she could have easily jumped over, but she didn’t.
Thank you so much for taking such good care of her. She’s great.
I’ve attached a couple pictures of her. The one where she was looking at
herself in the mirror was when she first walked in the house on Saturday.
I wish you could’ve seen her. She just couldn’t figure out how to get to
that dog in the mirror.
Oh, by the way, she just chewed a chunk out of her favorite green ball you
gave us and we can’t find the missing pieces. She might have eaten them.
I hope she’ll be okay.

Follow up:
Daisy is doing great. She’s a member of our family now. She sleeps in bed
with us and has recently started plowing under the covers to sleep at the
bottom of the bed, totally engulfed in sheets and blankets, sort of like a
tent. She’s so funny.
Her daily exercise includes running to catch a Frisbee. She loves to do
this and can actually catch it mid-air. She is still mischievous at times,
but we wouldn’t part with her for anything. She has a personality that can
just melt your heart.
