Hi all,
Just a note from Bob and Robin about miss Liz. She is doing fine with her new home. She was perfectly behaved on her visit to our
friends home at Christmas. When we got home she went right to the cats bed on our porch and made it hers. see the attached photos.
It's the small bed she just fits into. the cat doesn't mind her using it. they are getting along just fine. We bought her a new
larger bed and put it in the living room. She uses it when she isn't in the cat bed. Liz has many spot she likes to sleep on around
the house. She still won't use the dog door. She likes to have someone open the door for her. We walk her twice a day and she seems
to enjoy that very much. She is very happy living here but i know she misses all of you.
We took her to see Dr. Kristen on new years eve for her first checkup. The exam went well except she had gained 5 pounds since her
last check at the shelter. she does like to eat. We put her on a diet to help her hips. The X-rays of her hips showed a lot of
degeneration in the socket joints. It's probably a genetic thing. We are looking at options for the long term. It could involve
surgery in the future. For now we will be giving supplements and may try some alternative medicine before we try the surgery. So
overall miss Liz should have a long happy life. We will keep you updated on her health.
Robin and I would like the say thanks to all the staff at the shelter for giving Liz a second chance in life. Whe is a wonderful dog.
Very sweet and loving. Willing to please and a blessing to have in our home. We know how much she meant to you all and want you to
know we will give her the best life we can.
I have attached a few pictures of Liz in her new digs. the copy of her vet visit is also included.
So happy new year to everyone at the shelter from Bob, Robin and miss Liz. We will try and bring her for a visit from time to
time when we are in the area.
Love to all, liz, robin and bob
