Spanky I adopted my dog Spanky (formerly Sweet Pea) from your shelter at the beginning of December 2007. She has been nothing but a blessing, even though potty training has been quite a challenge. She’s also VERY STRONG for being such a tiny thing! She has broken the clasp on 2 collars (we’ve moved on to heavy-duty leather collars with metal buckles) and the spring clamps on 2 leads – and that was all in the first 3 weeks I had her. Now all of her accessories are bull-dog touch, just to be safe. She and her big brother, Chewie, get along great for the most part. Chew is an old man so he doesn’t have as much energy as she does, but having her around has definitely livened him up! They wrestle constantly and Spanky loves to race Chewie up and down the stairs and tease him in the yard – she’s much faster than he is! I’m attaching a couple of pics so you can see how she’s doing. She weighed about 25 lbs. when I took her home and now she’s up to around 33-34 lbs. I don’t think she’s going to get too much bigger, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in sweetness! Thanks for taking such good care of her and allowing me to make her part of my life!
