Molly

Our first day with Molly and night with beautiful Molly

When we arrived home she made a beeline for the sofa and managed to hide there...I tried to intice her with food and she did come out a bit, but when I picked her up to bring her to her food, she fought me so I let her go. Don't want to rush our kindness and love.

That was in the am. In the pm we had a dinner party here - she was still behind the sofa - but no one paid any attention to her - I insisted on that. We were out in the other room for conversation and cocktails and who should appear - in the distance - but Molly. One of the gentlemen started up and away she ran.

During dinner I had a visitor at my knee "Molly" = I reached down and petted her and she managed to stick around - shyly - and we paid no attention to her. During dinner I went into the kitchen and looked in the laundry room where her litter is and saw she had used the litter and also had eaten some food. Naturally we had to toast that achievement at dinner.

To make a long story short, she mingled the rest of the evening. When bedtime came she didn't bother with the "cage" you had loaned us, but roamed around and finally landed up on my bed - jumping fromthe bed to the window, and back and forth and dashing - only he knows where - every once in a while. And this morning she used her litter again (know you are setting on the edge of your seats to learn of this) and ate some more. We love her.

I think it will take her awhile to settle down - she seems nervous - and right now she is sleeping under my bed. I'm hoping and praying she will be as much as I think she can be and give us a lot of happiness. Can't wait to try and rid her of the knobs of fur around her neck, but I certainly don't want to rush that.

Molly's Mother....betty burke
