About Our Animals
Our dogs and cats come to C.A.R.E. either as strays, abandoned by their former owners, or after being relinquished by individuals who can no longer care for them because of death, illness or other unforeseen circumstances. For many of these animals, C.A.R.E either gives them their first chance at a happy and healthy life or a viable second chance to find a responsible and caring family to spend their lives with.
Our dogs and cats receive all usual tests, treatments, vaccinations, and a microchip for identification purposes. If not already done, they are spayed or neutered as part of the adoption agreement. Our animals receive care, attention, exercise and socialization 365 days a year by dedicated volunteers and devoted staff. Our Medical Director sets medical policy and oversees medical protocols, while our Animal Care Manager ensures our animals' health and welfare on a daily basis.
