Gwen was brought to C.A.R.E. after being found as a stray. She was very thin, heartworm positive, and had severe skin issues. Her medical needs were taken care of and she was spayed. Gwen has now packed on a few pounds and she's waiting for her perfect home. Gwen needs to be in a home without any other pets. She is food and treat aggressive with other dogs. This large, strong girl is looking for a single owner, or a family with teens, who has had previous large dog experience and will respect her need for slow introductions to a new environment. She requires someone able to set boundaries and handle her with firm, loving guidance. Gwen can be very sweet and loves to play, if you are on her list favorite people. She is picky when it comes to choosing people to love. Possible adopters should be prepared to visit her several times in order to convince her that you are deserving of her affection.
