When Zoro plays with his toy's he shakes his head, and flips them across the room. If you encourage him to "go go go" he will show off and run full throttle around the room.
In the evening he loves to coddle, and sleeps all night. He brings so much joy to the house. Adopter – Art

Duchess Silver Moonbeam (formerly Taz) has settled nicely onto her home. It only took her 3 days to become best friends with her new housemates Princess Fancy Feet and Chairman Meow.
Sebastian (formally Squirt) is living his best life. He has brought us so much joy! He loves playing with toys, cuddling, and hanging out outside to watch squirrels.
We adopted Kevin in August of 2023. He is all puppy (and Beagle) and we soon got him into obedience training. He has now finished training and is doing great! We lost our previous Beagle in June and Kevin has brought such joy to our lives. He is great with the kids and is just a love bug. We are so happy we adopted Kevin from C.A.R.E!
Kristin Geary When I adopted Suny and Luna (Suny's name was Bond at the time) I said I wanted two cats that got along with each other. They are very bonded and seemed to have been that way before they came home with me. They love laying out on the lanai. Suny is always grooming Luna--and she usually lets him. Luna is now also quite bonded to me. She sleeps on the pillow behind my head and sometimes wraps her head over mine with one paw on each cheek. She lays there and purrs. They love their toys and towers, and particularly like the cat nip from my plant and the cat grass. Suny is a Tuxedo cat, so he's the one with some white showing. Luna is smaller and all black except for a small patch of white on her chest. Gail Dudley I adopted Charlie (black) and Romeo (grey) from C.A.R.E. in late December of 2019. By New Year's Day, they were extremely comfortable in their new townhome.
Gumbo (formerly known as Charlie) and Geaux-Geaux (Romeo) are best buds and love treats, tunnels, sheet-covered box forts, more treats, zoomies up and down the stairs (capped off with treats), and naps on the ottoman by the window, while occasionally standing guard against potential squirrel, bird, and duck break-ins. We have not been attacked yet; 100% success! They are my work from home buddies and are by far the best co-workers you could ever ask for. Thank you to everyone at C.A.R.E. for the hard work and love you give to all the fur babies each and every day. Stewart R. Slayton Buddy and Cooper joined my family in July 2022. They are a bonded pair and cannot stand to be apart. They play together and do zoomies all around the house – always making me laugh. After some socialization issues, they have settled in nicely to the daily routine. I can’t imagine my life without them! Dale T. Hunni is so happy in her new home. She has made no attempts to leave! She is looking forward to running and chasing the abundance of birds, bunnies and squirrel that inhabit the large fenced yard. And she may even experience snow for the first time in here New York home too. We are forever grateful for Hunni. The Donovans I saw “Skipper” on the C.A.R.E. pet page and knew I had to go meet him because the blanket he is on has special meaning to me. It was a sign! We adopted him and brought him home in March 2018. We changed his name to Lone Ranger because of the mask. It was mean to be because Ranger kept my husband company while he was sick. Sure, Ranger has his issues but we deal with them because we love him. He is my Boy!
-Lois Reece My husband and I moved to Florida four years ago. We have been cat parents to several cats over the years. At the time of our move, we only had one, Zoe, and she was 14 when she passed. Were we going to get another cat? Well, maybe, and it has to be an adult and only one! So I see these two siblings at the shelter, certainly bonded and only four months old. Our eyes met, and I was instantly in love! My husband came to see them and was instantly in agreement. Let’s take them home. So here we are with two (not one) kittens. And now we couldn’t be happier with our new family! Biscuit and Charlie were formally known as Jack and Jill at the C.A.R.E. shelter. |
